Is it crazy to have 4 dogs and a ferret?

5 Mar, 2010  crazy dogs

My husband and i can’t have kids so we got 4 dogs love them to death , now i want a ferret but i just want to know am i crazy or what?

    Not at all. I am a single mom in a small apartment with 1 kid, 2 weenie dogs and a kitten i found that was left in a box by my door

    I have 9 dogs, all chihuahuas….and 6 birds (5 Cockatiels and a Sun Conure). Most of them are rescues that I got attached to before I could find them homes. It is noisy at my house, it can get a little messy (the puppies like to tear up paper and the birds throw seeds everywhere), and I never get to sleep alone. But I love them all, they all get along, and we are happy.

    If you are crazy, so am I. The question is does "crazy" make you happy. It works for me.

    No you are not crazy!! I just bought a house on 2 acres so I can have more dogs. I love them:)

    if you’re getting a ferret please research them first.and it would depend on the breeds of dogs you have s well.ferrets get on w/ most dogs,but not terriers,or any breed of aggressive dogs.ferrets need alot of care,they need to be out of the cage 3-4 hrs a day,they need interaction w/ humans,interactive play,regular vet care,special ferret food,etc.i’m not trying to tell you not to get a ferret,they are amazing as pets,but need alot of time and love.i’d strongly suggest going to a ferret shelter,they may have ferrets that already get along w/dogs.here are some web sites for you,they have addt’l links as well. ferrets.com TheFerretMagazine.com they can answer alot of questions and offer less expensive places to get supplies.good luck!!
