    why is it cruel? …
    why is it cruel? How is it any crueler than a dog chasing a normal ball? There’s still not real point to chasing a ball and bringing it back to someone, or a stick for that matter.
    Dogs like to fetch and chase things because of their hunting instinct, chasing a fake ball (or laser pointer) fulfills their desire to chase and play without causing damage as well as giving them good exercise. It is cruel in no ways.

    wow, you should think again. “ability to speak out against the government”. no. it’s actually there so that you can say whatever you want. the government is only a small part of the whole picture.

    YouTube could randomly delete your comments if they put that in their ToS. It’s not a violation of your first amendment right for someone to restrict your speech on their own service.
    Also, he isn’t even a moderator or anything, he’s just a random guy suggesting you shouldn’t comment. Even the government could *suggest* that you would be better off not talking, but as long as they don’t actually stifle you, I don’t see a problem with it, at least in the terms of the US Constitution.

    “freedom of speech” refers to the people’s ability to speak out against the government.

    Also, encouraging suicide is against the law, and Youtube community guidelines.
