when my dog was a puppy we had a temporary plastic dish for him. and it was the smallest one we could find as he was a really small puppy. and he would pick it up and carry it around with him. and dump all the food and water out after he was done and take it to the living room to chew on it. and it was so hard to try to discipline him because he was so damn cute. we ended up getting heavy stainless steel bowls for him as the plastic one didnt last more than two weeks. so what is your funny puppy experience?

I had a German Shepard pup years back that when I went out one day and came back I couldn’t find her and looked EVERYWHERE! I later found her when I heard a whimper from the cabinet she had climbed into a 35lb bag of dog food and ate herself nearly to death! Her tummy was so bloated she looked like she was going to bust and was so full she couldn’t move! I rushed her to the vet and they had to give her an eneima and made
her throw up……. she wouldn’t eat that kind of dog food ever again!

When Kaleb first came to us, he had some irritating habits that we had to break…one of which was tugging on pant legs when he wanted attention.

Early one morning, Kaleb and I went out for our morning jog, and I made the mistake of stopping to speak to my mailman. Kaleb got a bit antsy, and started tugging on the leg of my sweats. Before I could stop it, my pants were around my ankles, and there I was in a purple thong right in front of my mailman. He laughed it off, as did I, but I swear, Kaleb was so proud of himself for getting my attention. I just wish I had been wearing more as far as underwear goes.

EDIT: Thanks for that Bossoli….glad I’m not the only one. :)

Louie’s funniest behavior didn’t stop when he grew up. He’s an underwear thief. We have a corner of our living room where we pile the dog toys. Every day I gather all the toy’s he’s scattered throughout the room to put them back in the corner. There’s almost always a pair of my underwear amongst his toys haha. I’m starting to think we’re going to have to get a tall hamper with a cover before he ends up as one of those dogs in the ER with underwear stuck in him.

Rachel- Oh my God! That’s hilarious (well now it is- I’m sure it sucked at the time.) That happened to me twice with Sydney. I’m short so my pants are always too long for me. I used to take her outside in the morning in my pajamas and a couple times she stepped on the bottom of the pant leg when I was in mid stride. The pants had an elastic waist so they just went right down.

aww yeah my pup chewed everything in sight.
funniest thing our puppy ever did: we have cats so we have a litter tray, and it took a while to work out how to stop him going in it, but before we got a lid for it to do this, he got in it oneday and literally went crazy, running around in circles; cat litter flying everywhere. he was literally rotating at 100mph and it was hilarious. we havent let him go in the litter tray since!

We had an OCD foster puppy. Another pup would knock food out of the bowl spilling it everywhere or one of the kids would accidentally kick the food bowl or something and the foster pup would run around and start eating it all up. The thing was she’s start from the outermost part of the spill and work her way inward. She couldn’t stand for their to be food spilled. It was quite comical.

Well when one of my dogs was a puppy she was a little devil :) I remember she took one of the cd’s out of the holder and ran around with it so I had to chase after her and I ended up crying because I got frustrated and she wouldnt listen to me…. its funny now , and now she is such a well behaved dog but you do see that little devil in her :) .

We got our dog from a shelter. She had been neglected very badly. She was 3 years old and didn’t even know who to play. It was sad. We have 2 cats also. One day I caught the dog stalking her bone. She got real low to the ground, wiggled her butt and pounced!

Now she has one of the cats playing fetch!!

The funniest thing my golden ever did was when he was playing with his frisbee, dropped it and took 2 steps forward and pooped in it.

My dog learned as a puppy how to unbuckle and remove his harness and continued doing so until we changed the harness to a slip-in clasp- that he could not conquer.

When he would remove his harness, he would carry it in his mouth and present it to me, as in, look what I did!!

Lets see where to start, The first dog that I got was a siberian husky I rescued her from the shelter one day it was hot outside so me and my boyfriend went to get snow cones I had a blue one and he had red we went to a gas station and was out of the truck for a few minutes when I came back my snow cone was gone her mouth was all blue and when we took her out to use the bathroom she pooped blue!

When trinity was a puppy she would dig through all my dirty clothes just to get to my bra she would carry it around like it was a toy. Diesel seems to get into my clothes hamper and find my panties I dont know if its a boy thing with panties or what and the smallest pup that I have sleeps on the dirty clothes hamper they all love to steel socks too when ever I get ready in the morning and I try to get my socks on Diesel is right there ready to steel my sock! Them dogs are always doing something funny

This is 2 rescue pups playing tug of war with Trinity

When he was a puppy (About 6 months old) he was on our car port and I happened to look out the door to check on him and he had taked everything including the trash bag and he had his front part of his body inside of the trash can and his rear was sticking out.

my sis have a 2 yrs old shih tzu and i have a 3 mths old puppy. As you know, puppy and adult dogs dun really interact and to be honest, i haven’t even seen them play. The shih tzue have a funny habit of ‘storing for winter’. She would chew her food into smaller pieces and hide them in all corners of the house. But poor fella, one day she woke up and realise that she will have no food for winter cuz the puppy took the pleasure of looting them.

We had just gotten our 4 month old Mastiff puppy. He kept bringing shoes out into the family room and we kept taking them from him. He came walking down the hall with a 5 lb dumbell in his mouth. He had a look on his face like, look its not a shoe!

Our GSD x was toe crazy , at first it started out as teething then she would go crazy every time she saw toes.
We were in a very hot country so we where either bare feet or in flip flops , so if we were not paying attention to out toes , she would put them in her mouth (never bite just put it in her mouth) We would circle our feet and she would spin around in circles trying to get them.
When I jump up and My Sibe is looking at me , he will join in and jump along with me , I have a video by YA is being a pain ):

What’s funny about my Shih Tzu is that she barks by throwing her head back! It’s funny .. Well, one day – it got her.

The mailman came and she didn’t know it until she turned around (you know how puppies balance isn’t that great) so she got so scared that she barked so hard .. and flipped backwards!

    Poor baby! :)

I know what you guys mean about having an underwear thief! My Jack Russell was a pro! If I left the hamper un-blocked (this was putting something heavy on top of it) it was a guarantee she would go clothes diving by the time I got home. She eventually grew out of this, but it is pretty embarrassing when she is running through the house with hear head up as far as she can get it (so she can run with them in her mouth) while you’re chasing her around trying to retrieve your clothes before your guests realize what they are! That happened twice before I realized I had to sandwich the hamper against the wall (to prevent tipping) and then put a book on top (to prevent her opening it).

She was and still is, quite the personality but this is one of those things that I will never forget.

UPDATE: she also had a MAJOR ear fetish!

Well, she knocked over the fish bowl and ate both the fish.

That sucked. It was a little funny though… lol

She also ate new shoes, so we used to get her those shoe shaped chews! x
