Why is my puppy acting funny?

My 2 month old pup doesn’t usually bark at people but she always barks at my friend. I don’t see why she does. I always thought it was because she was smelling something funny but then my pup would come to my friend bark then TRY to bite her. Why is my pup acting this way to my friend. Is there something wrong with her or does she just smell something weird? PLEASE TELL ME! I want my friend to know why me pup is supposedly mad at her!

your pup is not "mad". your pup is curious and playful. mouthing objects (including plants) is normal. that is how they learn about the world, much like babies put things in their mouths.

at this age i would attribute it to wanting to play and curiosity. what you must start to do is train the pup away from this behavior. when the pup approaches your friend and bites, say no bite. have them give the puppy a toy the pup likes. no tug of war, especially with a large breed puppy. you will have to be VERY consistent in this training approach.

biting and barking is normal for a puppy. also, if your puppy is 8 weeks now, did you get this puppy at 6-7 weeks, because, if so, the puppy probably did not have the sufficient time to learn bite inhibition so now, you have to teach that.

NEVER strike the puppy for doing this, the training must be fun and always positive.

im sure this is the answer. If your frend is scared of dogs barking thats why.
does your frend get away from him/her often.thats why!!!
    the dog must snifff her!!!!!
    her secnt!!!!
    so he/she could recognize her!!!!!!!
he/her will lick her instead of bark at her!!!there you go
    PS:i have a dog..im a dog specialist

Dogs usually sense when someone isn’t "normal". They are good for that.
A dog saved his master from cancer in Great Britain by acting weird on the brown stain she had on her leg.

I know that, cause I had a Dalmatian once and he was never barking except from poeple who weren’t kind.
